Will I be able to update my website?

In terms of content, you will have a login and we ensure that all of our websites are fully editable by our clients – all text and images will be editable (including the header and footer, logo etc) using custom fields. Clients are free to install page builders (such as elementor) which will let them create unique designs for their pages, but we typically advise clients use the build in WordPress Gutenberg editor.

You will be able to update the site software yourself too (WordPress and plugins), but may require support from a developer in some instances.

We will provide training on how to update the website content.

All websites include a cookies notification bar which allows users to accept and revoke cookies. It also includes a settings menu which functions as a cookie policy, explaining what cookies are and which cookies are used on the website.

Will the website comply with GDPR?

The website will comply with GDPR. If you have an ecommerce website, it is up to you to maintain the database and information stored within the website Dashboard to ensure it is kept up to date. For example, deleting old customers who have not made a purchase within 12 months.

Do you use Divi?

Divi is a popular WordPress theme and page builder. While it can be used to create very nice looking websites, we do not use it as it is difficult to make Divi websites comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and from our experince often creates a poor mobile experience.

We ensure that all of our websites are fully editable by our clients – all text and images will be editable (including the header and footer, logo etc) using custom fields. Clients are free to install page builders which will let them create unique designs for their pages, but we typically advise clients use the build in WordPress Gutenberg editor.
